About Gjuterigatan
We cook what we ourselves crave.
Gjuterigatan is a neighborhood restaurant in an old industrial building right in the heart of Svedala—born from a fairly simple idea: to cook really good food, take care of people, and have fun along the way.
We love classics at their best. Wallenbergare with mashed potatoes, green peas, and way too much browned butter. Raw beef in every possible form. Sauces—lots and lots of sauces.
But we also love to look out into the world. Chili, miso, cilantro, lime, grilled, fermented, crispy, tangy, and full of umami. One day it might be comforting Swedish home cooking; the next, something completely different.
And then there are the seasons. The first asparagus. Swedish tomatoes and strawberries. Chanterelles, Karl Johan mushrooms, and game when fall arrives.
Ideally, it shouldn’t be predictable. The only thing that should be predictable is that it tastes good.
Gjuterigatan is also about the people who work here. We’re a small group with different
personalities, ideas, and quirks. We like service that feels like us—warm, relaxed, and personal. Here, you should feel welcome, seen, and eager to stay a little longer than you planned.
Quite simply, we want Gjuterigatan to be a place where you feel at home. A living room, a great pre-party spot, or just somewhere to pause for a while.
Eat. Drink. Wind down. Wind up. And have a really great time together.
